Single-story living in Somersby
All four bedrooms on one level, vaulted ceilings in the great room and primary bedroom, and a glassed sunroom that looks straight out over the pond.
309 Casey Drive sits in Somersby, a Pooler neighborhood just off Pine Barren Road with its own community pool and playground. Built in 2012, the home is a true single-story ranch with 1,614 square feet per the Chatham County tax assessor, four bedrooms and two full baths, all on one floor.
The floor plan is split, so the primary suite sits on its own side of the house, away from the other three bedrooms. Out back, the sunroom and covered patio face a pond, and the yard is fenced. Costco, Lowe’s, I-16 and the Pooler Parkway shopping and dining corridor are all a few minutes away, and so is Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

Inside the home
The great room is the center of the house. Its ceiling vaults overhead, arched openings frame the way through, and it opens straight into the kitchen and dining area, so the cook is never closed off from the room.
The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless appliances and a breakfast bar for quick meals and for friends to pull up a stool. The dining area sits right beside it, and ceilings throughout the home run nine feet and up.
The primary bedroom has its own vaulted ceiling. Its bath has a double vanity, a garden tub and a separate glass shower. On the other side of the split plan, three more bedrooms share the hall bath. One of them is set up as a home office right now.
Practical touches round it out: a whole-house water softener with filtration that conveys with the home, a laundry room with washer and dryer connections, ceiling fans, and an attached two-car garage.
The sunroom, the patio and the pond
This is the part of the house buyers remember. The glassed sunroom sits across the back of the home and looks right out over the pond. It’s a room you’ll use all year, for morning coffee, a reading chair or a place for the kids to spread out.
Step outside and there’s a covered patio, with a fenced backyard beyond it that runs down to the water. The lot is about 0.15 of an acre, with privacy fencing along the sides.
