Guyton GA Commute Times to Hyundai, Gulfstream, the Port & More (2026)

If you work at the Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub, Georgia-Pacific’s Rincon mill or Hyundai’s Metaplant, your Guyton GA commute is shorter than most people expect. This guide puts real drive times from a Guyton neighborhood to the six places our buyers ask about most, so you can judge the trade between a bigger lot in Guyton and a shorter drive somewhere else.

Guyton GA commute starting point: 107 N Kingsley Dr in the Village at Kingsley

The numbers below were measured in Google Maps between September 29 and October 1, 2026, from the Village at Kingsley off Highway 17, a no-HOA neighborhood in Guyton. Times are evening estimates. Rush hour will add minutes, so treat them as a floor, not a promise.

Guyton GA commute times at a glance

From Village at Kingsley, Guyton to Distance Drive time
Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub, Rincon 11.2 mi about 17 min
Georgia-Pacific Savannah River Mill, Rincon 14.1 mi about 23 min
Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, Ellabell 14.6 mi about 25 min
Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport 18.0 mi about 27 min
Gulfstream Aerospace, Savannah 18.3 mi about 27 min
Port of Savannah, Garden City Terminal 20.3 mi about 30 min
Effingham Parkway at Blue Jay Road (opening expected 2027) 8.0 mi about 10 min

Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub: about 17 minutes

The Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub is a master-planned industrial park in Rincon, roughly 2,700 acres served by both CSX and Norfolk Southern rail and about 12 miles from the Port of Savannah, according to developer OmniTRAX. From Guyton the drive runs east on back roads into Rincon, which keeps you off the busiest stretch of Highway 21 for most of the trip.

Georgia-Pacific’s Rincon mill: about 23 minutes

Georgia-Pacific’s Savannah River Mill sits on Old Augusta Road South in Rincon and makes tissue, towel and napkin products, mostly from recycled paper. It is one of the longest-running large employers in Effingham County. From Guyton it is a straight run north and east through Springfield, about 14 miles.

Hyundai Metaplant: about 25 minutes

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Ellabell built its first vehicle on October 3, 2024 and held its grand opening in March 2025. Hyundai says it plans 8,500 jobs at the plant by 2031, as part of a $12.6 billion investment in Georgia that includes its battery joint ventures. From Guyton the fastest route heads south to US-80 and west to the plant, about 15 miles. That puts Guyton in the same commute range as many neighborhoods much closer to Savannah.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport: about half an hour

The airport is about 18 miles from Guyton, a little under half an hour in light traffic. For anyone who travels for work, that is an easy run compared with commuting to the airport from the far side of Savannah.

Gulfstream Aerospace: about 27 minutes

Gulfstream Aerospace’s main Savannah campus sits right beside the airport, so the drive is nearly the same: about 18 miles, a little under half an hour from Guyton. The fastest route runs down Midland Road and GA-30 into the airport area, which avoids most of the Highway 21 traffic through Rincon.

Port of Savannah: about 30 minutes

The Garden City Terminal is the heart of the Port of Savannah, run by the Georgia Ports Authority and which the Ports Authority calls the largest single container terminal in North America. From Guyton it is about 20 miles, roughly 30 minutes, on the same Midland Road and GA-30 route. For port, logistics and trucking jobs, that puts Guyton within the same half-hour ring as much of Pooler and Port Wentworth.

What the Effingham Parkway means for a Guyton GA commute

The Effingham Parkway is a 6.4-mile road from State Route 30 to Blue Jay Road, built to take pressure off Highway 21 between Effingham and Chatham counties. WTOC reported in August 2026 that the full opening has moved to spring or summer 2027 after flood repairs.

To be clear about what it does and doesn’t do: the Parkway runs through the Rincon and Port Wentworth corridor, not through Guyton. From the Village at Kingsley, its Blue Jay Road end is about 10 minutes away. Guyton commuters headed south toward Pooler and Savannah should benefit from less traffic on Highway 21, but the Parkway is not a new road out of Guyton itself.

A Guyton home that fits this commute

The drive times above were measured from 107 N Kingsley Drive, a 2016 one-story ranch on just over half an acre in the Village at Kingsley, with no HOA. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and 1,744 square feet, and is listed at $349,900. Take the video tour:
